a little bit of this.. a little bit of that.: September 2010

My blog has suffered a drought since my laptop charger has been broken.. and I never took the time to replace it. Not to mention..I just realized I never clicked "publish" on my bahamas blog.. which was like 3 months ago. Since then.. Unfortunately I've only made it to Coos Bay, Oregon for July 4th weekend. Traveling and mini vacations have been put on hold since I've been in a whirl wind of baby showers. My birthday is approaching soon and so far, I've only planned a brunch for my F.G.'s and I. I cannot wait.. and honestly I don't think I'd rather have it any other way. Forget the club & glammin up.. let's brunch it up over some vegan food! more ramblings shall be on their way. stay tuned =)

This past year has probably been the longest time I've stayed in San Francisco without taking any vacations (including mini-vacations!) ever. And the wait was more than worth it. Our first night in Florida, we went to Bayside, Miami. Bayside was a bit of everything for everyone.. shops, night clubs, restaurants, live band..and Pina Coladas! Definitely a lot of Miami locals (easily distinguished by their love for ed-hardy) but the weather was definitely Miami Heat! Next morning was onto Port of Miami to board our cruise ship. Everything (except for occasional rocking & swaying) of the Carnival Destiny cruiseline was awesome! Food was delicious, service was outstanding.. and the rest & relaxation was genuine. Lay out in the sun, get up and eat, swim and drink...and do it again. However, I did stay on top of my fitness and worked out in their gym. Their gym was decent.. cardio machines (no free weights..boo) complete with sauna & steam room... so there was no excuse for getting vacation-fat. There was never room for boredom aboard... shows, casinos, clubs, comedians, laser-tag, and 24 hours of food service! gOod god. My final thought on the trip... EVERYBODY MUST SEE THE BAHAMAS AT LEAST ONCE IN THEIR LIVES!
